TRAVELLING TO CHALET ALPENROSE
Travelling by Air
The most convenient mode of travel is by air.
British
Airways and Ryan Air run regular services to Salzburg from London Gatwick and London Stansted respectively. During
the ski season (December to April), it is possible to fly from regional airports (Bournemouth, Bristol, Southampton, Manchester
and Exeter) to Salzburg. Ryan Air also provides additional services from London Stansted to Klagenfurt Airport situated
only 61 miles from the Chalet during the winter months.
We recommend

Travelling by car from the UK
It is possible to drive to Stadl from the UK by taking the ferry or using the channel
tunnel. The journey time by road from Calais is approximately 11hrs. If you decide to travel by this method
we can provide directions upon request.
Travelling
by Rail
If you choose to travel by rail, Stadl is reachable
with OEBB (Austrian Railways) and Steiermarkische Landesbahn (Styrian Railways). For detailed railway information please

Car Hire
Car hire is available from around £26/day
for a compact (vauxhall Astra or similar) type car. The easiest way to arrange car hire is via the internet through
a comparison site such as http://www.opodo.co.uk.
When visiting during the winter, it is advisable to hire snow chains when booking
or alternatively use a 4x4 vehicle. These are available from most car rental for a small additional charge.

From
Salzburg Airport
Take the A10 (Toll Road) motorway and pass through the Tauern
tunnel to St. Michael in Lungau. Take exit 104 from the motorway, passing through the Tollbooths. Follow
the B96 toward Sankt Michael im Lungau. Pass through Mignitz and turn right on to the B95 until you reach
Preditz. At Preditz, take the B97 that will take you to Stadl an der Mur. When you arrive
in the village, take the first junction on the right (signposted to Kaltwasser). Follow this road for approximately
1km and take first turning on the right. After approximately 100m the entrance to the development is on
the right hand side. When entering the development, Chalet Alpenrose is the 3rd Chalet on the left hand

From Vienna Airport
Take the A2 (motorway), through Semmering tunnel, going past Bruck/Mur and Leoben, until you reach the motorway junction
St. Michael/Leoben. Continue in the direction of Klagenfurt, passing Knittelfeld and Judenburg, until the end of the motorway.
Join the B97 to Murau. After passing through Murau, you will reach Stadl an der Mur. Drive
through the village, pass over the bridge and through sharp bends to the left and right. Immediately after
these bends turn left (signposted to Kaltwasser). Follow this road for approximately 1km and take first
turning on the right. After approximately 100m the entrance to the development is on the right hand side.
When entering the development, Chalet Alpenrose is the 3rd Chalet on the left hand side. To download full

From Klagenfurt Airport
Take the B317 heading towards Vienna. After travelling through Teufenbach take the B96 towards Murau. At
Murau take the B97 towards Stadl an der Mur. Drive through the village, pass over the bridge and through
sharp bends to the left and right. Immediately after these bends turn left (signposted to Kaltwasser).
Follow this road for approximately 1km and take first turning on the right. After approximately
100m the entrance to the development is on the right hand side. When entering the development, Chalet Alpenrose

AIrport Transport/Taxi
Service
